PROFILE

I’ve been a Consultant Paediatric Urologist and Honorary Senior Lecturer at Bristol Children’s Hospital since 2005. I originally trained in Paediatric Surgery and Urology at Alder Hey Hospital, Liverpool, at Bristol and Birmingham Children’s Hospitals and the Children’s Hospital in Melbourne, Australia.

I have a special interest in laparoscopic surgery in paediatric urology but also undertake a full range of day case paediatric surgical procedures including umbilical and inguinal hernia repair, hydrocele repair, orchidopexy for undescended testicle and hypospadias surgery.

I am married to Sarah who is a GP and we have two now grown-up children. My interests outside of work include running (I’ve completed more than 30 half-marathons, 4 marathons and 3 ultra-marathons), triathlon (including Ironman Wales in 2018, Austria 2019, Portugal 2021 and Nice 2022), skiing and kite surfing.
